What is the correct answer in an interview when asked what is your management style?

I know there are macro and micro management styles but that doesn't seem to get the correct response. A hypothetical case: if you subordinates prepare an analysis that does not in your experience give the correct result that you are looking for what do you say to them? What is the correct answer in an interview when asked what is your management style?
The answer is

"My style is Democratic, but i ensure that the decision-making process is not delayed".

I will give sufficient guide to my subordinate so that he prepares an analysis which gives the correct result. What is the correct answer in an interview when asked what is your management style?
The answer many companies are looking for is to refer to yourself as a "leader" and not just a manager. (So spend a little time thinking about what the difference is and what are your leadership qualities?)

RE: your hypothetical, I would try to use it as a "teachable moment." Thank the staff and appreciate the work they did, but then teach them the better way to come up with the result and have them fix it.What is the correct answer in an interview when asked what is your management style?
Sympathetic and rigid to my fiscal responsibility.
