I have read about authoritative and permissive management styles, but I want to know what kind of behaviors represent a confrontational management style. It sounds more authoritative. When you confront someone you do not beat around the bush, so to speak, so does this type management style come off as rude to people who are not used to it?What is a confrontational management style?
It does not necessarily mean that confrontational management style means that one has to be rude in approaching. This management style has led to the success in many organizations. A manager employing this style needs to calm while still imposing authority. Harsh and rude methods will not help in achieving the desired result

Anyone using confrontational management must exhibit a strong personality and understand that there is always an inherent danger of a losing control. Those who deploy such tactics usually have done their homework in advance and using this as a psychological shear than anything else. No response from a target considered passive or weak. This is a sure way to grow into management.
