A close relative placed most of her life savings of 拢50k in a BOS medium-risk managed fund three years ago. Not surprisingly perhaps, given the state of the world over the past two years, it is now and has been almost from day one, worth less than the original investment. The annual management charge currently of 拢1500 has not helped but it seems unreasonably high to me especially in the light of the abysmal performance. What is fair these days? What is a fair annual management charge on a fund worth 拢50k?
1% is fair, 1500 is excessive. Of course I'm across the pond here in the u.s. Things may work differently where you are - Britain??
