Management?

The best thing to come out of Total Quality Management is continuous process improvement. This stimulated quality communication about processes to happen as often as possible within organizations and work groups.

What are your thoughts here?Management?
Total Quality Management (TQM) is a management strategy aimed at embedding awareness of quality in all organizational processes. TQM has been widely used in manufacturing, education, government, and service industries, as well as NASA space and science programs. Total Quality provides an umbrella under which everyone in the organization can strive and create customer satisfaction at continually lower real costs that result in profitability.

The thought that it is continuous must be qualified with a statement that it must be emphasized by management and exercised at all levels to be functional if quality is to improve continuously. Every time I鈥檝e implemented a TQM as CEO I have seen initial gains that were substantial, but to get secondary or tertiary results, the TQM had to be reemphasized and implemented again and again. Some mountains still need to be climbed even when the summit has been reached. There always seems to be a higher peak next door.

Good luck in your quest.Management?
I agree the continuous process improvement is the best thing to come out of Total Quality Management (TQM). The high customer satisfaction, improved employee goals, and high-quality product are all results of those improved processes. These end results will continue as long as the process continues. One aspect of TQM is to hit the problems in the order from biggest to littlest. That means there will be great improvement in the beginning, and from then on, the level of improvement drops to where in five years, there might be very little improvement, even though the processes could be just as efficient and effective as in the beginning, it's just that there are no big problems left to cure.

Your second sentence is grammatically incorrect, so I don't know what you are trying to say. I will comment as best as I can, assuming you meant to say "... processes is to happen ..."

The quality communication about processes should happen as often as possible so people can do their regular jobs while investing sufficient time to improve processes around them. TQM does not call for all operations and processes to cease until all problems are eliminated, but to take time from the processes if absolutely necessary in order to improve them.
