How do people create a management plan to protect a certain ecosystem?

To preserve a ecosystem, people need to build a management plan to protect them. What is the management plan like? How do people create a management plan to protect a certain ecosystem?
There numerous ecosystems of varying sizes on Earth. The global warming and pollution are the major contributor for affecting the ecosystems. With changes in everyday lifestyle, can help to protect the planet and the ecosystem.

Recycling of waste will help in reducing waste, reducing use of household chemicals will help in reducing polluting the environment, reduce the use of carbon footprint are few of the ways. Know how to protect ecosystem at http://www.concernergy.com/How do people create a management plan to protect a certain ecosystem?
First, and foremost, they have to know the dynamics of the ecosystem. This can be a major or minor task, but in our day and age all seems complicated. In my case, as guardian of a half acre in NE Colorado, I'm left with the question of what I can do to restore the land, as much as possible, to what it once was. For me it started with many long hours of removing non-native plants. This entailed selective mowing and lots of hand pulling of weeds. Then I found native plants and gathered seed to sow. In this way the former ecosystem was restored to a degree. Now, the management plan consists of trying to keep out the non-native intruders of all types. Few ecosystems exist that have not been tampered with in some way, so we do the best we can with what we've got. Knowledge is the key, hard work is the instrument, and the result is something to be proud of. I know this is not a scientific answer. How do people create a management plan to protect a certain ecosystem?
for preparation of management plan important considerations are:i)determination of characteristic of the ecosystem including its land use pattern and its special features,ii)assessment of various biotic and abiotic factors impacting ecosystem, iii)identification of key stone species and its status,iv)status of various threatened/endangered species and also invasive species reasons for threatening and invasion,vi)present system of management of the proposed protected area and also adjoining area and any other relevant information's impairing function of the ecosystem.
Analyses the conservation, economic, development policies and legal frame work and institutional arrangement for management and assessing its strength and weakness.
Based on the base line in formations and legal and policy frame work, institutional arrangement ecosystem management plan to be developed.
