some of these offer the post of management trainee and some offer the post of executive trainee. What is the difference between the two? What is the difference between a management trainee and an executive trainee?
Based strictly on the words, I would say the following:
Executive trainees, will be hired to be groomed to be an "executive". As with everything 80%, or more, will never see higher than low or mid management.
Management trainees, are hired to be groomed into mid level managers.
In the real world, in most companies, I would guess there is virtually no difference between the two.
Titles are fluid and every company has its own vocabulary and title machine. I learned long ago that titles were meaningless, (I was once a "Controller", but I controlled nothing and made $10 an hour).
So, don't get caught up in the name, look at the opportunity.
Good luck
